Dress-code: Come as you are
Child Care: Trained staff look after babies and toddlers in the nursery during church services.
Time with Children: Children above the age of two begin in the Sanctuary with their family for the Sunday service. Time with Children, early in the service, is when children and youth gather at the front of the sanctuary to receive a message tailored just for them, led by the pastor or other Christian educators. From there, they are invited to follow the Sunday School teachers to the education wing for Sunday School class, or return to sit with their parents for the remainder of the worship service. Older companions, such as guardians or older siblings, may accompany children at any point in this process. Blue “Busy Bags” are provided for those children, who want to stay in worship.
Sunday School Classes: Following the Time for Children, kids and youth ages pre-K thru 5th grade may attend Sunday School classes in the education wing.
Please remember to sign-in. The sign in sheet for children Kindergarten through 5th grade is located at the welcome center. After service, please sign-out when you retrieve your child from the education wing.
Church Chat (6th - 12th grade:) Sundays 10:20 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. (directly following the children's moment through worship conclusion)
Junior & Senior High gathering: Sundays 2 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Welcome Center and bulletin: A volunteer greets all church goers at the entrance and hands them the Parish Herald, our weekly bulletin, which contains the order of the church service plus useful information about church activities. The greeter can direct you to other areas of the church and answer questions.
The Welcome Center at the back of the North Transept is staffed before and after the Sunday service. Here you can find information about the church and all its activities.
Fellowship time: After the service, coffee and lemonade (and sometimes munchies) are served near the Welcome Center, an opportunity for all to mingle and chat.
Service: The service lasts approx. an hour. It includes prayers, scripture readings, hymn singing, music and a sermon from our pastor.
Offering: An offering is taken during each Sunday Service. Donations to the church can also be given electronically via Vanco.
Noisy Offering: Once a month, on the 4rd Sunday, after Time with Children, the kids bring around tin buckets. You are invited to drop loose change into the buckets. The Noisy Offerings are dedicated to different mission opportunities each month.
Parking: The church has a large, private, connected parking lot and street parking is also free. There are multiple entrances to the church, see map here.
Accessibility: The church has floors on many levels. Inside the double door entrance off the parking lot, there are stair lifts going down to the Fellowship Hall and up to the Sanctuary. The Education Wing and Wesleyan Parlor has ground floor access, but the children’s and youth class rooms are upstairs and not barrier free.
Bathrooms: There are bathrooms through the door to the left of the altar area, across from the Church Office and in the Fellowship Hall below the stairs. A unisex, accessible bathroom is located in the Narthex. A changing station can be found in the Nursery.
