Blessings in a Backpack is a national organization that mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry.

Dearborn First UMC has supported the Dearborn chapter by helping to pack bags of food to be distributed in Dearborn elementary schools, and through financial donations.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4 @ 7 P.M., come to Dearborn First UMC to experience a night of advocacy and justice-seeking through art of all forms: visual arts, music, storytelling, and spoken prose. This pilot event will focus on immigration, with the potential to launch a series of similar events throughout the year on different justice issues.

6 - 7 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PACK LUNCHES FOR BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK! Take part on the 2nd Tuesdays of the month, at 6 p.m., Christ Episcopal Church. Dearborn First UMC is once again committing to monthly packing sessions to help fight hunger in Dearborn.
