SUNDAY, AUGUST 16, starting at 10 a.m. - come hear stories of Christians in the Holy Land during  the service, and afterward, enjoy a display of olive wood religious handicrafts from Bethlehem available for sale. The olivewood carvings include Nativity sets, crosses, Christmas ornaments, candle holders, angels and others. They are carved by Christian families from Bethlehem who rely on their crafts for their daily bread.

COME TO THE CHURCH and help Detroit People’s Assembly make whistle kits. Whistle kits are an important resource to protect our community from unconstitutional ICE encounters. In addition to an alert whistle, kits also contain critical education and community resource materials. Many hands make light work - bring a friend, your family, your loved ones! It's a fun way to contribute to peace, justice, and safety for everyone in our community!

Tap into your creative side and use your skills for a good cause! Come to SUMMER MISSION CRAFTING & MOVIE NIGHTS 2nd Wednesdays (June - August), 5 - 8 p.m. in DFUMC’s Creator Space. Projects include creating a non-traditional worship banner from pop cans, weaving mats from plastic grocery bags for unhoused persons, and whatever you may propose and wish to lead!

SUNDAY, JULY 26 @ 11:15 A.M. - Are you interested in reducing food waste? Curious about community composting? Come to the Creator Space and help cast a vision for our church’s role in a community network to reduce food waste and encourage composting in Dearborn.

The world-renowned Polish youth choir, Scholaris Minoris pro Musica Antiqua, will be sharing their talents through voice, instruments, and dance in our sanctuary. A free will offering to help offset their travel expenses will be collected.
