Make a joyful noise unto the Lord - Join DFUMC Chancel Choir!
Chancel Choir is open to anyone who loves to express praise, prayer, and words of inspiration and faith through singing!
Rehearsals take place weekly on Wednesdays.
Songs are shared as musical offerings frequently each month during Sunday worship. Choir members report at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays to warm up for worship, which starts at 10 a.m.
It’s a great way to make friends, have fun, and express faith together!

6 - 7 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PACK LUNCHES FOR BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK! Take part on the 2nd Tuesdays of the month, at 6 p.m., Christ Episcopal Church. Dearborn First UMC takes on monthly packing sessions to help fight hunger in Dearborn.
The Book Club at Dearborn First UMC meets every 2nd Thursday of the month at 2 pm via In-person/Zoom hybrid. THURSDAY, March 12 @ 5:45 P.M., come rehearse “Light, Surround Us” as part of a combined chorus performing that same evening during the Night of Art and Protest Event. The song is “dedicated to those practicing non-violent resistance and those stolen from our communities, and is an adaptation of a protection prayer, set to music by a Minnesota resident in the wake of the ICE encounters in Minneapolis.
THURSDAY, March 12 @ 7 P.M., come to Dearborn First UMC to experience a night of advocacy and justice-seeking through art of all forms: visual arts, music, storytelling, and spoken prose. This event will focus on the militarization in our communities.
UMCOR SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 10 a.m. - Donate to support the operating expenses of United Methodist Committee on Relief, so that 100% of all relief donations can go directly to those in need.
Michigan UMC Advocacy Day, Wednesday, March 18 in Lansing, Michigan. Michigan United Methodists and friends will gather to impact change in the area of food insecurity. Activities include meeting with lawmakers, writing letters, and peaceful gathering, prayer and worship.
Food Distribution takes place the third Saturday of every month. Show up at Good Shepherd UMC from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. to serve, or to be served. Learn more on our food ministry web page.
