EARTH DAY EVENT
Saturday, April 23rd, 9:30 a.m. - noon.

IN THE SPIRIT OF CELEBRATING NEW LIFE AT EASTER, the DFUMC Climate Consciousness Team invites you to an EARTH DAY EVENT - the first step in taking responsibility as a church for our impact on God’s creation.

Plans include creating a new rain garden, and around 11:30 a.m., we will be planting a tree accompanied by a brief presentation and dedication, so if you can’t plant, come be part of another way we are giving back to the earth.

If you are able to help dig and plant - please bring a rake, shovel and/or trimmers if you have them! 

Climate consciousness is a priority ministry this year, both at Dearborn First UMC and in the larger United Methodist Church. It takes all of us to care for God’s creation so please come out for all - or part - of this Earth Day event.
