Lunch Packing for NOAH at Central
Dearborn First Missions invites you to help assemble 300 sack lunches for NOAH at Central. WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8 in DFUMC Welcome Center/Library area. 5:00 p.m. - FREE PIZZA. 5:30 p.m. - lunch sack packing until all 300 are finished. You can also volunteer to make sandwiches at home, donate online, and/or deliver the sandwiches to Central UMC in Detroit on the morning of Thursday, April 9, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m..

Together We Clean!
Saturday May 2, starting at 10 a.m. - It’s time for Creation Care in our community! Help clean the trails and gardens at University of Michigan Environmental Interpretive Center in Dearborn. Bring gloves, water bottle and tools if you have them. RSVP by April 15 so organizers know what kinds of jobs to assign!

Michigan UMC Advocacy Day, Wednesday, March 18 in Lansing, Michigan. Michigan United Methodists and friends will gather to impact change in the area of food insecurity. Activities include meeting with lawmakers, writing letters, and peaceful gathering, prayer and worship.

CHORAL REHEARSAL - A Night of Art & Protest
THURSDAY, March 12 @ 5:45 P.M., come rehearse “Light, Surround Us” as part of a combined chorus performing that same evening during the Night of Art and Protest Event. The song is “dedicated to those practicing non-violent resistance and those stolen from our communities, and is an adaptation of a protection prayer, set to music by a Minnesota resident in the wake of the ICE encounters in Minneapolis.

Projects include creating a non-traditional worship banner from pop cans, weaving mats from plastic grocery bags for unhoused persons, and sewing dresses from pillow cases for children in Africa.
