WEEK 3: Buck Franklin: The Destruction of Black Wall Street
Buck Franklin was an attorney best-known for defending the survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. In less than 24 hours, hundreds of Black business owners and residents were killed, thousands of homes burned, and the most affluent Black community in the nation was erased. Franklin fought the city to restore their property rights, but even yet, financial restitution has never been made.
