FINANCE SECRETARY
10-15 hours per week
Dearborn First United Methodist Church is hiring a finance secretary to manage its financial transactions and bookkeeping needs.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): donor database management and reporting (Servant Keeper), Accounts Payable responsibilities, monthly reporting to church leadership and endowment managers, monthly reconciliation of bank statements and credit cards, payroll preparation, some supervision of volunteer tasks, and attendance at monthly finance meetings.
This position reports to the Pastor, but works closely with the treasurer, the endowment supervisor, and supports fellow staff and volunteers to fulfill duties.
The successful candidate will be an organized, flexible self-starter who offers compassionate, professional service, and who thrives in a dynamic environment among an inclusive, faith-based volunteer community.

CHILD CARE STAFF PERSON
Part-Time: Sunday mornings, plus occasional weekday evenings and Christian holiday coverage as needed.
Overview:
Provide nursery care for children, newborn to 4 years of age on Sunday mornings, and other religious holidays while their parent(s)/guardian(s) attend worship and other church activities; occasionally care for children aged birth through 5th grade during non-worship events and activities as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be aged 18 years or older, have previous childcare experience, the ability to skillfully, safely, and reliably supervise and engage multiple children with a co-worker, as well as demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults to foster a positive, safe, nurturing, trusted environment in a faith-based community.
Background check and Safe Gatherings training required (provided by Dearborn First UMC).
Other relevant training a plus (ex. First Aid, CPR, active shooter) or can be made available once hired.
