Help Dearborn First UMC support a variety of food assistance programs like food pantries at UM-Dearborn, HFC, Good Shepherd UMC, and Blessings in a Backpack.
Here’s how:

DONATE NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS
Between now and November 23
Dearborn First UMC is collecting donations of food and household items to support food pantries at both Henry Ford College and University of Michigan - Dearborn.
Bring items to the DFUMC Welcome Center during business hours:
Sundays 9-11 a.m.
M - Th, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. -

DONATE MEIJER OR KROGER GIFT CARDS
DONATE ANYTIME!
Grocery store gift cards are always needed in the church office to respond to emergency food needs whenever they arise.
DROP-OFF OPTIONS:

SUPPORT BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK
Blessings in a Backpack provides sacks of food to Dearborn school children each weekend.
SEVERAL WAYS TO HELP:
1) Help DFUMC Missions Team pack food the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Christ Episcopal Church, 120 N Military St. Dearborn.2) Attend Empty Bowls Dinner Monday, November 17 at Park Place Banquet Center. Enjoy a simple bowl of soup and take home a hand-made bowl. DETAILS HERE.
3) Donate packs of instant oatmeal through the month of December. Watch for details.

1570 Mason St., DearbornThe food pantry is a cooperative partnership between Good Shepherd and Dearborn First UMCs. There are several ways to get involved:
1) Be a volunteer shopper: DFUMC supplies a bulk number of different household items each month, such as dish soap, laundry soap, or shampoo.
2) Help distribute food at the food pantry. Show up each month by 8:30 a.m. to help serve.

DONATE COATS
Now through January 31
Bring your new and gently-used coats - all sizes - to either Steven Bernard Jewelers, or Dearborn First UMC. They will be brought to warm the clients of Cass Community Social Services in Detroit. Drop off at the church during worship, or weekday business hours.
