FEED THE COMMUNITY!

Help Dearborn First UMC support a variety of food assistance programs like food pantries at UM-Dearborn, HFC, Good Shepherd UMC, and Blessings in a Backpack.

Here’s how:

GIVE TO THE 17TH ANNUAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF MICHIGAN CEREAL DRIVE!

This cereal - ANY SIZE BOX! - will be distributed through Gleaner’s, along with milk (thanks to the Dairy Council of Michigan) for Southeast Michigan families this summer!

  • SUPPORT DEARBORN COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY

    THIRD SATURDAY OF THE MONTH
    9 - 10 A.M.
    Good Shepherd UMC
    1570 Mason St., Dearborn

    The food pantry is a cooperative partnership between Good Shepherd and Dearborn First UMCs. There are several ways to get involved:

    1) Be a volunteer shopper: DFUMC supplies a bulk number of different household items each month, such as dish soap, laundry soap, or shampoo.

    2) Help distribute food at the food pantry. Show up each month by 8:30 a.m. to help serve.

  • SUPPORT BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK

    Blessings in a Backpack provides sacks of food to Dearborn school children each weekend.

    SEVERAL WAYS TO HELP:
    1) Help DFUMC Missions Team pack food the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Christ Episcopal Church, 120 N Military St. Dearborn.

    THE LAST PACKING SESSION IS TUESDAY, MAY 12 @ 6 P.M.!

  • DONATE MEIJER OR KROGER GIFT CARDS

    DONATE ANYTIME!

    Grocery store gift cards are always needed in the church office to respond to emergency food needs whenever they arise.

    DROP-OFF OPTIONS:
    1) Church office during business hours (M-Th, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

    2) Mail to the church office: 22124 Garrison St., Dearborn, MI 48124

    3) Drop in the offering plate
