Life is a journey. How has your life changed during this pandemic? What new patterns of living have you had to adapt to or create?
The life of Mary and Joseph would never be the same after the visit of the Angel Gabriel. Their pattern of life was disrupted forever and a new pattern began to emerge that would lead them to Bethlehem and the birth of the Christ Child, Jesus.
Dearborn First UMC invites you to journey with us during livestream worship at 10 a.m. every Sunday during Advent.
The Advent sermon series will focus on ‘The Journey’, a collection of Rev. Adam Hamilton’s reflections on the holy couple as they travel ever onward, from Nazareth to Bethlehem.
You can play an important part in this journey! We need you, or rather Mary and Joseph need you, to help them travel to Bethlehem during Advent. Not the 90 miles from Nazareth, but the 5,997 miles from Dearborn. Yes, we are relying on you.

DFUMC is headed to Bethlehem this Advent! Join us as we register “miles” for various discipleship practices. Collectively we will travel all the way to Bethlehem in time for Christmas.
Starting November 29th, begin tracking and logging your miles. Click the button below to view the list of options and corresponding mileage. Submit the form as many times as you like between now and December 24th, and keep checking back here to see the Holy Family’s progress.
