Michigan UMC ADVOCACY DAY Lunch and Learn

Michigan UMC ADVOCACY DAY

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18 2026
State Capitol • Lansing

Spend the day with Michigan United Methodists meeting with lawmakers regarding food insecurity.

Activities include meetings with legislators, letter-writing, poster-making for the rally on the Capitol steps, prayer in the Capitol rotunda, and prayer and worship at Central UMC opposite the Capitol.

A special labyrinth of canned food will be created in front of the capitol, to later be donated to the Food Council of Michigan. Attendees are asked to bring donations of food to contribute to this impactful, purposeful visual statement.

LET’S ORGANIZE A DFUMC TEAM! Interested in attending? Coordinating a carpool group? Acting as a liaison? Contact Pastor Suzy: pastor@DearbornFirstUMC.org
